My first breed was a Wire-Haired Fox Terrier, after that I had a Borzoi, Miniature Pinscher and then came Whippets in 1978. The first Whippet litter under prefix “Woodbrooks” was born in 1980. Dogs bred by us have been very successful both in Finland and abroad and dogs bred by us have been exported to many European countries, United States, Argentina and Australia. We have bred a couple of litters in Chihuahuas and nowadays we have Miniature Wire-haired Dachshunds besides Whippets. Before becoming a judge I used to handle many different breeds, which has been a very instructive and educational. I got my judging license in 1994 for the Whippets and I judge at the moment all breeds in the FCI groups 4 and 10 plus also breeds in FCI Groups 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9. Besides Finland I have judged in Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Croatia, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Gibraltar, Israel and Australia. We have at home also a couple of Gouldian finches and a Canary Bird. My other interests include horse riding and gardening.
