Tania Huitema

My introduction to showing and breeding started in 1986 with both long and smooth coated Chihuahua’s and my love for the hobby became apparent immediately.
In 1990, my partner purchased a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  I had considerable success both breeding and showing this wonderful breed under my prefix of Fullafire. I was very privileged to have been entrusted with quality Staffordshire Bull Terriers from other breeders, taking them on to be both Grand and Supreme Champions. 7 years ago I purchased my first Boston Terrier and breeding this beautiful breed in partnership with Rebecca Sheriden-McVicar under the renown “Hygamble” prefix.  We have had many champions and in speciality show winners.  I commenced my judges training in 2014, with my first championship licence being for Terriers. I am now also licenced for Gundogs, Working Dogs, Utility and Non-Sporting and I am currently a trainee for Toys and Hounds.  I have judged in many states of Australia one of which was the Brisbane Royal show in 2022, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Boston Terrier speciality shows in New Zealand. Throughout my 37 year involvement in the dog world, I have actively been on multiple committees and am a life member of the Millicent Kennel Club.  I am very honoured to be judging in Finland at the World dog show and am very much looking forward to it.
