As a kid I grew up with a Westie and a Scottie and went to my first dog show when I was 11 years old. I bought my first Irish terrier in 1973. Together with my husband Thomas we breed Irish terriers under the kennel name MerryMac. Our first litter was born in 1977 and ever since we have been loyal to the breed. We have bred about 200 champions and several World Winners and BOB´s from the World shows. One of the most remarkable wins was at the World dog show in Amsterdam 2002 when MerryMac Simply the Best won the terrier group. At Crufts in 2003 we did the double by winning dog CC and bitch CC and our dogs have been successful at the most important terrier show, Montgomery County in USA. Over the years there have been many great results with MerryMac Irish terriers, such as multiple BIS winners (including the iconic Stockholm winner show), BOB at Specialty in the UK, Swedish Champion of Champions winner, placements in the Dog of the year competition in Sweden, where our bitch MerryMac Zinnia of Gold Again became Dog of the year in 2017. In 2007 we have added Jack Russell terriers to our household. We have imported some from Australia and our most notable show achievements are 2x BOB from World shows with Duckling´s JR Just Beatnik and MerryMac Conqueror. We have exported a lot of successful dogs all over the world and many dogs we have bred compete not only in dog shows but have success also in agility, obedience, tracking and rescue. We are awarded The Swedish Terrier Club Breeders medal and The Swedish Hamilton plaquette, the most distinguished mark of honour that a breeder can get from the Swedish Kennel Club. I have been authorized as a judge since 1997, and judge the terrier group, Dachshunds, Schnauzers and Pinschers and most breeds in FCI group 9. I have judged in most European countries, Russia, and Australia. I had the honour to judge my breed at the World dog show 2017 in Leipzig.
