Tanya Ahlman-Stockmari

My interest in dogs began already in my childhood – her aunt bred Pomeranians and Miniature Pinschers and with her help I managed to come in to the world of dogs. In Tanya’s childhood home lived a Miniature Pinscher and that was my first own dog and after that a salt and pepper Schnauzer from kennel Mihan. I have bred or owned following breeds: Pomeranian, Deerhound, Irish Wolfhound, Shar Pei, Poodle, Greyhound, Finnish Lapponian Dog, Tibetan Spaniel, Pekingese, Cairn Terrier and Australian Terrier with prefix Stranger’s.  The Pomeranian was however my breed, nowadays I breed only Australian Terrier. This breed came into my life when I got married with my husband Harto. We have been married since 1987 and he is also an all breed judge. Our daughter Nora has Harto’s prefix Sassatown and she breeds Deerhounds, Pekingeses and Whippets. I have been serving in several positions of trust and have got awards of these activities.  Nowadays I am teaching new judges and taking exams in Australian Terrier, Pekingese, Shih Tzu and Pug.  Tanya became a dog show judge in 1991 and in 2013 she was authorized to judge all breeds. I have judges in most of the European countries and in Australia, Canada, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, Thailand, China, Kuwait and Kazakhstan. Nowadays I am actively judging and it is a lifelong process always learning something new. The feeling when you see a dog which is according to the breed standard is awesome. Besides dogs I am interested in literature and collecting. In my opinion there is no better way to have time of your own with dogs, quality literature and collecting.
