Jussi Liimatainen

Finland

I’m a dog show judge from Helsinki and was born into a family who had sled dogs. However my first own dog was an English Cocker Spaniel, who was later joined by a Welsh Springer Spaniel and American Cocker Spaniels. My first active years in dog world were spent Spaniels and later I became also interested in toy dogs. Before becoming a judge, I showed and groomed actively other people’s dogs from most breed groups. I have showed more than 200 dogs to their championships, including several World and European Winners as well as BIS winners. Among club activities I am Chairman of the Finnish Toy Dog Club, member of the Borad of the Finnish Kennel Club and member of the Winner Shows Committee. I’m also a member of The Royal Kennel Club. I’m qualified to judge all breeds and judge very actively around the world. I have judged in almost all European countries as well as on all continents. Besides European countries, I have been honored to judge Best in Show also in North and South America, Asia, South Africa, and Australia.
