The show world’s brightest stars competed – FCI Top Dog 2025 title went to Chile

At the ongoing World Dog Show 2025, a battle of the brightest stars in the dog show world was witnessed today. The International Canine Federation (FCI) honoured Finland by organising the FCI World Challenge of Top Dogs 2025 in conjunction with the World Dog Show.

The FCI World Challenge of Top Dogs invites the most successful show dog from each country to compete for the prestigious FCI Top Dog 2025 title. Entries were received from as many as 49 countries from around the world.

Finland was represented by the Scottish Terrier Quaint Theofilo, owned by Arja Tuuliniemi and awarded as Show Dog of the Year 2024.

The winner was an Afghan Invincible from Chile

The FCI Top Dog 2025 title was won by Multi CH Zaida Bint Muti von Haussman, a Chilean Afghan Hound bitch bred and owned by Ramon Podesta. The second place went to the petit basset griffon vendéen male Multi CH Dance Monkey by Tum-Tums Vriendjes, bred by G.M. Huikeshoven owned by A.N. and G.M. Huikeshoven from the Netherlands.

The winners were selected by Tamás Jakkel, President of the FCI from Hungary. The dogs were first pre-scored in three groups, judged by Jørgen Hindse from Denmark, Adrian Landarte from Uruguay and Dinky Santos fromPhilippines.

The final saw the 12 best dogs selected from 49 competitors.

The World Challenge of Top Dogs was held for the first time. The fact that the first competition was held in Finland and the large number of participants is a testimony to the world’s appreciation of Finland’s dog show culture and its ability to organise major events.
