A total of 397 breeds can be seen at World Dog Show 2025

Dogs from all over the world are registered to the World Dog Show 2025. There is a good chance to see many rare breeds.

There is a total of 397 different dog breeds on display. Dogs come from a total of 73 different countries. Most of the entries to the show are Labrador retrievers (241), Finnish Lapponian Dogs (204) and Golden Retrievers (171).

Rare dog breeds entered for the show, which are rarely seen in rings in Finland, are, for example, Taiwan Dog, Bukovina Hound, Walker Raccoon Dog and Czech Pointer.

  • On Friday 8 Aug there are a total of 5,144 dogs in the rings
  • On Saturday 9 Aug a total of 5,695 dogs in the rings
  • On Sunday 10 Aug a total of 4,880 dogs in the rings

Nearly 9,100 Finnish dogs in the show rings

European countries are strongly represented in the registrations. A large number of dogs from the Baltic and Nordic countries have been registered to the show. Most of the dogs come from Finland, Sweden and Poland. Ukraine is also among the top 10 countries.

Dogs also travel to the show from long distances, such as the United States and Canada, South America, Asia, Australia and South Africa. More detailed statistical information has been compiled on the statistics page.
