The cheapest entry period for World Dog Show 2025 and Circuit Shows specialty shows ended yesterday 5 May. So far, 9,600 dogs have been entered for the WDS2025 show and almost 5,400 dogs for the Circuit Shows.
– It seems that the interest of the dog show world is strongly in Helsinki this year, rejoices Kimmo Mustonen, the Chairman of the World Dog Show show committee.
WDS 2025 will be held at Messukeskus on 8–10 August and the Circuit Shows for a total of 257 breeds in the same place on 7 August. Mustonen is particularly pleased that the Circuit Shows have collected so many entries.
In August, a representative group of best dogs from all over the world will be seen at Messukeskus. According to current information, dogs will come to shows not only from the Nordic and Baltic countries, but also from Australia, Japan, Brazil and the United States, among others.

Finnish breeds (Finnish Lapponian Dog, Lapponian Herder, Finnish Hound, Finnish Spitz and Karelian Bear Dog) can be entered to WDS 2025 at lower fees. See WDS entry fees from here and Circuit entry fees from here.
Kimmo Mustonen hopes that a large amount of dogs will be able to participate in WDS 2025 this time as well. Last time the show was held in Finland was at 2014 and at that time there were a total of 22,000 dogs. The show was held just after the peak years of dog registration and also more than 4,000 Russian dogs participated. In WDS 1998 there were 16,000 dogs.
The goal is to have 15,000 dogs in World Dog Show 2025 and 7,000 dogs in the Circuit Shows specialty shows.
– I welcome everyone to Messukeskus in August, and hope that as many fine Finnish dogs as possible will be seen in the rings, Mustonen emphasizes.
